“I love him, but I no longer like the life we built. Is that enough reason to leave?”
Loving somebody and liking your life with him are two different conversations, and most women only have the first one out loud.
Before you pack anything, get specific. Is it him, or is it the version of yourself you agreed to be in that house? Write down what you would change if nobody's feelings were on the line. If the list is about the life — the schedule, the money, the silence, who gets to grow — say it to him plainly, once, without softening it. Grown men can hear the truth. What they cannot do is read your mind for fifteen years.
If you say it and he moves, you have something to rebuild. If you say it and he waits for you to get over it, you already have your answer. Leaving is not the failure. Staying quiet in a life you resent is.
